DESCRIPTION:Little Learning Farmers returns to Donaldson Farms beginning in June 2025! Pre-registration will be required – no walk-ins\, please. To be notified of other fun and exciting farm events please subscribe to our e-newsletter.  \nLittle Learning Farmers is a child-and-adult activity session and is perfect for parents\, grandparents\, aunts\, and uncles\, and their Little Farmer(s) to enjoy a fun and educational morning on the farm! \nThis program content is ideal for pre-school and kindergarten age children\, however\, siblings and children of any age may participate.  \n\nAll sessions will include a themed activity\, storytime\, and a light snack for each registered child. Snack items will be individually wrapped (ex. juice box and snack pack pretzels).\nMost sessions include a hands-on craft or take-home craft project.\nAll sessions will be held outdoors.\nChildren must have adult supervision at all times. Thank you for understanding that this is not a ‘drop-off event.’ \nPlease dress for the weather. Sunblock\, closed-toed shoes that can get dirty\, and a sunhat are always a good idea.\nEvents are rain or shine. Sometimes Mother Nature does not cooperate with our plans. In the event of rain or thunderstorms\, Donaldson Farms may cancel or reschedule the event. Your registration fee will be refunded if rescheduling is not an option.\nRegistration and payment are required prior to the event. Thank you!\n\nHighlights\n\nPick-Your-Own Apples: Enjoy healthy and delicious apples that are locally-grown.  No admission fee is required to access our apple orchard but\, you must check in at our farm market prior to picking. Apples are priced by the pound. We take great pride in our farm – please be respectful while visiting. \nPick-Your-Own Pumpkins: Grab a wheelbarrow and take a scenic walk to our fields to pick your own pumpkin. No admission fee is required to access our pumpkin patch. Pumpkins are priced by the pound. Wheelbarrows are available for walking to the pumpkin patch or take a hayride to pumpkins and apples (fee applies). \nCorn Maze & Attractions: 9-acres of fun that the kids will love! Put on your comfortable walking shoes and venture into our corn maze! It takes an average of 45 minutes to an hour complete. If kids surrender\, just take an ‘easy’ exit! DESCRIPTION:The Mansfield Township Police Department is holding a free public event at Donaldson Farms on Saturday\, October 26th from 9 am – 12 pm. Stop by the farm for a cup of fresh apple cider and a conversation with your local police officers! The officers are also offering free inspection or installation of car seats. This is a free event but registration is required if you’d like an officer to inspect or install a car seat for you. Click here to register for your free car seat inspection. You will receive the details by email after your registration is received. \nThe NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Association) provides the following facts: \n\nAccording to the latest US data\, motor vehicle traffic crashes are a leading cause of death of children in the U.S.\nEach year\, about 5\,000 children are involved in car crashes\, 18% are unrestrained.\nChild safety seats reduce fatal injury by 71% for infants\, and 54% for toddlers.\nThe safest place for a car seat is the rear middle seat.\nChildren up to 12 months have the highest restraint use (91%)\, and ages 13 to 14 the lowest (29%).\n49% of child safety seats in the U.S. are installed or misused.\nAbout 7.5% of children 1 to 3 years old are prematurely transitioned to booster seats.\nOne in 5 parents believe it is acceptable to leave their child unrestrained for short trips.\n56% of children are unrestrained when the driver is alcohol-impaired.\n\nGiven these statistics\, we hope you’ll stop by for a free car seat inspection or installation with your local police department! \nCider with a Cop: The mission of these events is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve by removing agendas and allowing opportunities to ask questions\, voice concerns\, and get to know the officers in your neighborhood.
