Little Learning Farmers is a child-and-adult activity session and is perfect for parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles, and their Little Farmer(s) to enjoy a fun and educational morning on the farm!
This program content is ideal for pre-school and kindergarten age children, however, siblings and children of any age may participate.
Little Learning Farmers is held on Tuesdays from 9:30 – 11:00 am unless otherwise noted.
- All sessions include a themed activity, storytime, and a light snack for each registered child. Snack items are individually wrapped (ex. juice box and snack pack pretzels).
- Most sessions include a hands-on craft or take-home craft project.
- All sessions are held outdoors under a shaded tent.
- Children must have adult supervision at all times. Thank you for understanding that this is not a ‘drop-off event.’
- Please dress for the weather. Sunblock, closed-toed shoes that can get dirty, and a sunhat are always a good idea.
- Events are rain or shine. Sometimes Mother Nature does not cooperate with our plans. In the event of rain or thunderstorms, Donaldson Farms may cancel or reschedule the event. Your registration fee will be refunded if rescheduling is not an option.
- Registration and payment are required prior to the event.
- Pricing is $20 for the first participating child and $10 for additional participating child, plus fees and tax. Non-participants are always FREE.

2025 Program Schedule
- June 17 Strawberry Picking or Planting! The sweetest season continues! Enjoy picking fresh-as-they-get strawberries with friends, story time, a craft and snack. Planting take-home Strawberry Plants will again be substitued if picking is not available.
- June 24 Tractors & Farm Equipment! All aboard the hayride for a tour of fascinating farm machinery and of course, tractors! Great photo ops, story time, and a snack too.
- July 1 NO LITTLE LEARNING FARMERS (4th of July week)
- July 15 Pony Rides & Amazing Animals! Saddle up, little farmers! Experience pony rides and and visit with Ms. Kathy’s truly amazing animals. Special friends may include a tortoise, donkey, draft horse, and event a Boa! Enjoy a snack and story time too.
- July 22 Tie-Dye & Butterflies! Dress for messy fun as terrific little tie-dyes are made in the most creactive and fun way! After snack, our craft and storytime are all about beautiful butterflies.
- July 29 Meet the Police! Fun & Safety with Mansfield Township PD. Our finest first responders are back on the farm for a fun and educational meet and greet, police car demo, snacks and storytime!

- August 12 Teddy Bear Clinic with Independence First Aid Squad! Bring your little farmers and their favorite stuffed lovies to experience fun hands-on first aid education from the pros! Take pics, tour an ambulance and enjoy a snack and story time too! Space is limited. Sign up soon!
- August 19 Slips, Slides & Hayrides! Send summertime off with a splash! Please dress for getting wet and bring a towel. Experience one of the most popular events for the littles on the farm. Savor the memory making moments in the sunshine as the kids safely slip, slide, and smile with their friends! Enjoy hayrides, story time, and cool snacks too.

Registration for Little Learning Farmers is required. Spots are limited and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Your registration must be paid in advance of the event.
